1. Have you ever been unable to quit a job which was terrible because it would put you on the street, leave you without medical care for your (or your child's needs)? That's the privilege I mean. You are implying in everything you say that you have always just been able to leave.

2. There are, currently, tons of job openings that don't pay enough to live on. Why should somebody accept a job that doesn't pay enough to live on?

3. I have known many young people who are smart enough to go to college, but who have had one choice in life: Take the first job they can get the second they get out of mandatory education. Going to college IS a privilege. Completing a degree is something to be proud of, but if my mother had been a mill worker not a teacher I would have had to get a job on my 16th birthday, full time, forget any further formal education.
