13 seems like a reasonable number. At one point it was one justice per circuit, but we increased the number of circuits and not the number of justices.

This would immediately allow the appointment of four more qualified justices.

Unfortunately, nothing can get past the Republicans and conservative Democrats holding our country hostage. Most of us probably aren't going to even be able to get updated COVID boosters, let alone getting anything *else* done.

The best thing we can do right now is fight at the local and state level while trying to get a Democratic (which, by the way means *center right*) majority in both houses.

It's a heck of a lot easier to get reproductive freedom, which as a right *also* covers same sex marriage if done right) enshrined in a *state* constitution than the federal one. That won't help the poor women and girls in these very red states...or perhaps it will. Legislatures are starting to go further than even most forced birthers want.
