I'm also reminded of when my parents had a standard poodle and of course he went to the groomer regularly (Yes, a lot of people can trim their own poodles, but my parents didn't have time).

The groomers would literally schedule nervous dogs right before or after Jake and ask if we could come a bit early or stay late and they could borrow him, because he was so calm he calmed all the other dogs down too. (Sadly he died of cancer at only 5 years old which is why I will never buy a black poodle. They are, in fact, prone to certain kinds of cancer).
