An underlying problem here is America's overall lack of public restrooms.

I'm *not* trans *or* homeless and I have still nearly wet myself desperately searching for a place I can pee without spending money.

I was staying in a hotel once and a woman came in from the street who was disabled and needed to pee.

One of us went to let her into the bathroom, which required a room key.

Security intervened and told her to leave and told us that we would not be welcome back if we let non-guests into the bathroom.

"She's disabled."

"Doesn't matter."

I realized that the solution next time was to sneak her up to the conference space on the fifth floor where there are unlocked bathrooms.

(That said, MOST hotels don't do that because they care about people who are checking in after a long trip and need to pee before waiting in line. Hotel lobbies are often a great place to look for restrooms you can sneak into, although they typically aren't single use).

If it's hard for me, I can't imagine what it's like for you.

But if you, a trans woman, need to pee and want an escort to support your presence in the women's bathroom and I'm there? I'm not large or intimidating but I'm not so GNC people question me ;).
