Never, under any circumstances, feed any wild animal.

Bird feeders are an edge case that I'm overall mostly okay with if properly done.

But, for example, the most common animal-induced injury at the South Rim of the Grand Canyon is people being bitten by rock squirrels. Because. People. Feed. Them. They've become habituated...they will climb into backpacks looking for food, no kidding. This inevitably leads to human/animal conflict and then a rock squirrel takes a chunk out of somebody's hand and they need stitches.

Now imagine what happens when idiots feed bears...
