As it's not possible to eradicate this virus, what else can we do?

Lockdowns also destroy health. Masks make the world hostile to people with sensory issues, speech issues, and hearing issues. These public health measures are not permanently sustainable.

Also, this fear is coming from two studies. What about this one from December, which does include omicron:

https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.1056/NEJMc2108120

90% lower chance of ending up in the hospital or the morgue.

https://onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1111/tmi.13752

This one isn't as strong because Omicron seems to be a bit less severe.

Each wave of COVID is resulting in a lower percentage of hospitalizations and deaths.

I'm not saying don't take sensible precautions. I'm still wearing a mask when a lot aren't.

But I don't think we should be panicking.

Health is holistic. Not getting COVID-19 is important. So is mental health, one's livelihood, accessibility for disabled people, etc.

And again, I am still wearing a mask when a lot of people here aren't. I don't have *time* goet COVID, apart from anything else.
