"As the final arbiter of the law, the Court is charged with ensuring the American people the promise of equal justice under the law."

When the Court permits States to enact laws which deprive a section of the population of liberty, LIFE, and equal justice, then they have failed the American people. It is literally their job to make sure states don't pass laws that threaten the lives of citizens. The "life of the mother" exception is not enough because it puts doctors in a position where they have to wait until the person is actually dying. "You will die if you continue with this pregnancy, but we can't abort until you are in the process of dying" is how most of these laws pan out. Also, you can't get an abortion if there are no providers.

The Court knew this would be the consequence of their ruling. It is literally their job not to do this.

Oh, and forced pregnancy is a crime against humanity.

We are freaking out because people are going to die. A "nothing burger"? People are dying.
