At the same time, when they are small and narrow they're too small for people with big eyes. The important thing here is to have a range of frame types to fit a variety of faces...and prescriptions.

For example, although I rag on rimless glasses, people who get glasses later in life often love them because unlike lifelong wearers, their brains haven't been trained to ignore the frames.
