ATs are awesome, but if you need to go to urgent care, you can't wait hours for the vehicle to get there. If you are heading to the emergency vet. If you need something urgently.

In remote areas people will still need personal vehicles available for their health and safety.

I don't own a car because I don't need one where I live. I would happily use ATs once the tech is developed.

Sustainable personal vehicles are still going to be needed, and at a reasonable price.

But a combination of ATs and good public transportation can certainly reduce the need. We just need to realize that the same solutions don't work everywhere. Honestly, thinking the same things work everywhere is part of how we got into this mess in the first place.
