Boosting too soon might actually not be desirable. I'm fine with prioritizing, which is all the FDA is doing here. They aren't saying never, just not yet.

I got Moderna, which appears to offer longer-lasting protection than Pfizer. I doubt I'll need a booster before the spring unless we get a truly nasty variant (and right now, Delta, as nasty as it is IS doing us the service of kicking the butts of anything that looks more vaccine resistant).

I do agree we'll need boosters eventually, but the optimum timing has to be worked out. Boosting too soon may in fact give a lower immune response.
