Christianity has been politicized since before Constantine decided to use it as a political tool to desperately try to hold together a failing empire.

Many people don’t know this, but the December 25 date assigned to Christ’s birth (which we know is incorrect) is actually the date of birth for a different cult deity, Mithras…and that’s also where the idea of his mom being a virgin comes from. By combining Christ and Mithras, Constantine ensured that he had the military, who tended towards the cult of Mithras, on board.

What should have been a reformed branch of Judaism thus became a monster. (And then there are those Christians who try to turn it back into a branch of Judaism while hating Jews…)
