Conversion therapy is the attempt to force a trans person to be cis. This typically involves techniques such as aversion therapy (put a dress on a trans girl then literally give her electric shocks so she won't want to wear one any more...a simplistic example), medication to further enforce the assigned gender, and telling them God hates them.
