Did Supergirl Just Set Up for a Legion of Superheroes Show?

Actually, there have been hints that Supergirl is opening the door for a potential Legion of Superheroes show pretty much since the CW bought the rights.

But the finale really brought a lot of those threads together. Whether the CW will actually do anything depends on a variety of factors including the most important — likely audience interest.

Here‘s some of the evidence:

Mon-El

I have a somewhat negative reaction to the CW’s version of Valor/Mon-El. I don’t like the actor and I didn’t feel him dating Kara worked that well.

But Mon-El is a classic Legion character, and while their version is very different from either Mon-El or the original Valor, Lar Gand, it’s still quite recognizable.

From the moment he showed up I was like, “Are they setting up for the Legion?”

Brainiac

The other classic Legion character to have played an even more significant role in the show is, of course, our green friend Brainiac.
