The best talent, not the best skinny white able bodied talent deserves recognition.

Audiences deserve the best talent.

The amazing work being done by writers of color is getting more attention in my own realm of science fiction and fantasy (Nnedi Okorafor, Tomi Adeyemi and Yoon Ha Lee come immediately to mind).

But we’re not recognizing the amazing work being done by actors, screenwriters, directors, producers…and we need to. EVERYONE benefits when diverse talent is upheld. Everyone.
