For those of us who don't have the privilege of owning a home and thus don't have the privilege of a good home setuop, movie theaters are far from obsolete. $30 to watch a movie on my 40 inch TV in my living room, for two people? I'll pass.

Both options should be available. Home watching is better for young kids, better for disabled people, cheaper for larger families.

But the loss of movie theaters would be a loss, and many of the people affected would be urban dwellers who need to be well into upper middle class to have the space for a good setup at home.
