He has underlying conditions so is more likely to get sicker, so I absolutely understand why he would mask up more than most people.
And I do know people who have been sick for a couple of weeks with it. I absolutely support masking right now, but there's no way to avoid it forever unless you give up on having any kind of a life. I know somebody who got it from a gathering of six people...who were all vaccinated and wearing masks! He got real, real unlucky.
Somehow I haven't got it. Or I have and didn't know. I'm not quite sure how, but I'll keep masking until it's settled into more of a pattern. And forever in a few situations, such as emergency rooms.
