I actually know somebody who found out his dad wasn't his dad.

In this case it was a happy ending, because while his actual dad was a piece of work, the guy he thought was his dad was worse...and he acquired a wonderful half sister that he loves out of the deal. His regret is not having found out years ago.

But "My mom had an affair" is an awkward thing to find out...
