This does not mean I think being a tradwife is wrong *as long as it's genuinely what you want to do*. The dark side is white supremacists trying to brainwash white women into thinking it's what they want (when was the last time you saw a Black tradwife). Using this as an example, of course. But if you, say, love babies and want to have several of them and give them the best upbringing, and believe that involves staying home? Power to you!

Wearing makeup because you love it, good. Wearing makeup because you will be fired if you don't, unless you are in a profession which requires it, bad. (Obviously, actors and models have to wear makeup).

I have, however, absolutely seen the attitude you talk about, alas.

And I also encounter far too many all men are trash feminists who don't accept or understand that traditional patriarchal values can also be pretty bad for men. Boys don't cry is a terrible line. I love it every time I see a manly man in a TV show cry, because we need to send a message that it is fine to show emotions other than anger.

So, at some levels, I absolutely agree with you, but it is worth remembering that some women have had enough bad experiences with men, due to male socialization, that they don't trust any men...and can't be blamed for it.
