I have talked to pro lifers who have:

1. Informed me that women must die rather than have an abortion so they can go to heaven.

2. Characterized children as a punishment for sex. That's a wonderful attitude.

3. Threatened to kill living, born human beings.

4. Called women who have abortions, for any reasons, the w word.

It might not be this bad in the UK. But it's hard not to characterize pro lifers as nutters when you meet people willing to say out loud that they would watch their own daughter die rather than permit her a life-saving abortion.

A lot of these people ARE nutjobs and they are more concerned with controlling women than saving babies.

(I have also met genuine pro lifers who are also opposed to things like war, the death penalty, etc. There's probably more of them out there because they tend to stay quiet).
