I heard about this. The publisher concerned is a mess of good diversity intentions based on their website, which includes "gay" being listed alongside subgenres as a "subject" of fiction and a clearly well-intentioned project to produce an edition of each children's book for each major ethnicity, because ethnicity can just be slotted in and out like legos.

As a bisexual woman with a husband, I also get the erasure. Sigh.
