I never had a huge problem with grid girls because I understood they were just models doing a gig.

But the gender equal way to do it would be to have some of the models doing the gig be...ya know, there are a lot of straight and bisexual women who watch motorsports and probably quite a few gay and bisexual men too who would have no objection to having some shirtless grid boys to look at ;).
