I remember this crash.

Concorde was a white elephant and the technology to make efficient supersonic passenger flight did not yet exist. (NASA is working on it now with the X-59 QueSST which is being constructed at the Skunk Works and should take its first flight in summer 2022).

But the ultimate cause of the crash was some guy grabbing the wrong metal strip for an aircraft repair. And there is NO excuse for that.
