I think people are panicking way too much about sorting machines (I found indications some are being removed to clear the space to sort packages) and collection boxes when the real issue here is that the post office is understaffed. That's what needs to be addressed. Giving the USPS emergency funding which is, at least in part, earmarked for payroll and overtime pay is the obvious answer here.
