I wouldn't put all of our eggs in the solar basket for various reasons, including the environmental cost of making panels and the growing cost of decommissioning them. Solar is great, but there are other options we should be looking at too.

Biofuels are the only short term answer to reduce emissions from air travel. Biofuels...not corn ethanol...allow farms to be energy producers. Corn ethanol isn't great, but it is far from the only biofuel out there. Biodiesel is an awesome way to power a tractor.

I agree that human creativity can solve all of these problems, but we have to work. Not panic. Work. And spread our options.
