If you don't know somebody's deadname, don't go digging for it. If you don't know it, it can't come slipping out, just saying ;).

And don't go after somebody so hard for a pronoun error (unless they are barrelling on and clearly it's deliberate) that you embarrass the trans person. I've seen that.
