It doesn't help that we do still need to take reasonable precautions.
I've been feeling caught in the middle between the "The pandemic is over, why won't you fly over to see your high risk elderly relatives" (That would be because I can't stay masked for 16 hours and they can't hear me if I mask up around them) and the "OMG how dare you leave your home." I just muted somebody on here who was going on about how it's not safe to do medical stuff and might never be. (I don't think they're even anxious, it's to get clicks).
It's a needle we all have to thread and I am happy to deal with the differential comfort levels of my friends (some are fine with hanging out indoors unmasked, some aren't yet and want to do stuff outdoors, which is fine), but it's resulting in this peculiar bifurcation between "It's over" and "It's still as dangerous as 2020, what are you doing."
Learning not to listen to the extremes on either end is another challenge.
