It would. But not everyone agrees with my philosophy that "the old version is still there" and alas quite a few Jews would be upset.

My mother was a theologian, and I do mean she held a degree, read New Testament Greek, etc. She converted to Christianity as a teenager (from Judaism).

She told me once as a child "If Jesus was born today he would be a Palestinian." That has stayed with me.
