It’s more Evangelical Protestants than Catholics, tbh. While Catholicism forbids abortion, most of the Catholics I know are pretty pragmatic about it (and ignoring the birth control prohibition).

Not saying there aren’t plenty of Catholics who are forced birthers, but I tend to lay this much more at the feet of Protestant extremists.
