I've been saying from the start that SARS-Cov-2 will *eventually* become just another cold-causing virus we don't particularly worry about.

(I'm stressing eventually because it's not at that point yet. The vast majority of people need to be vaccinated or infected first and the increased speed of mutational change associated with adapting to a new host is slowing that down. But there will def. come a time when we won't even know whether we had SARS-CoV-2 or the similar HCoV-OC43, which you have almost certainly had at least once).
