I've heard about this.

As a note, you CAN still mail certain live animals. Specifically, the post office will accept:

Live bees

Live, day-old poultry (it is VERY routine to ship day old chicks

Live adult birds.

Live scorpions.

"Small, harmless, cold-blooded animals."

So SOME pets can still be mailed. Snake people routinely mail them around as long as they aren't hot snakes, which require specialist handling.

But at least we can't mail kids anymore, although it sounds like May had fun.
