Moose can, and do, attack and kill humans. Usually it's because the person either got too close to two males during rut or, most often, between a cow and calf.

The one time in my life I've ever been terrified of a wild animal was when I rounded the corner of a trail in Alaska and came face to face with a suckling moose calf...and couldn't see mommy. My life flashed before my eyes.

In Alaska, more people die each year in moose encounters than bear encounters, and that's with it being pretty routine for adolescent bears to wander all the way into Anchorage. They just tranq the bears, tag them and remove them. Typically this happens once per bear (bears are fairly smart and the experience of waking up with a headache seems to discourage them from going back that way). That said, guard your beer...

The seals are adorable.
