I will absolutely be posting about my recent trip. I just have to sort my photos. And catch up on work…it’s taking a while.

But I am going to do an update on tips for smooth travel. With most people not worried about COVID any more (although we do seem to be seeing a very mild summer surge, which is timed with a massive heatwave, so I’m sure it’s people hiding in the A/C), I’m not going to talk about that too much.

Travel Tips for 2023

Without further ado, tips:

  1. Invest in a travel vest. My travel vest is one of the best things I’ve ever acquired. It’s a very lightweight vest that has lots of pockets. Your watch, wallet, phone, passport, boarding pass, essential medication all fit. When you hit security, you just take off the vest and put it on the conveyer and don’t have to empty your pockets. Mine has an RFID-shielded inner pocket for passports. And you can keep it on your body and that way if you have to evacuate, your ID isn’t on a plane that’s potentially on fire.
  2. Invest in sun shirts, if you’re going somewhere that is A. hot and/or B. high. Sunscreen is great. But a sun shirt protects you not just from UV, but from wind burn and bug bites too. No, you won’t end up too hot.
  3. Take nail clippers. I forgot mine last trip. We were camping. I regretted it. Just not…
