No vaccine has ever had “long term side effects.” The vast majority of side effects show up in the first few weeks after vaccination. The vaccine doesn’t stay in your system and there’s no biological mechanism to cause them.

I get not wanting to trust the mRNA technology, but I would note it’s been used in cancer treatment for a while. This is only the first use for infectious disease prevention.
