Nope. Charles Hapgood appears to still be wrong.

This was a slow drifting of the Earth’s tilt over a few million years that does not appear to have been associated with a catastrophe. It would have happened slowly enough to allow animals to adapt and/or migrate.

It MAY shift our understanding of how, and how often, Ice Ages happen, but no, this isn’t going to cause a catastrophe. We’re talking time scales that dwarf human civilization here.
