It also included puberty blockers, which are used to prevent trans kids from going through the wrong puberty and hormone treatment.

Puberty blockers only affect fertility temporarily if the child changes their minds...and why are we worried about "transient infertility" in minors? In fact, as worded it could have technically barred giving the pill to minors. If you're 14, you shouldn't be having (or fathering) babies just yet.

And which is better? Infertility or crippling mental health problems that can easily be fatal. The point of puberty blockers is to give kids time to be properly informed about the trade off between passing better and having far less dysphoria and potentially not being able to have children, or waiting, having more dysphoria, and preserving their fertility.

Trans dysphoria can be fatal. 82% of transgender individuals have considered suicide. 40% have attempted it. (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/32345113/).

As for not seeing the race issue...it's very easy for us white people not to see it, but if you note in the comments quite a few Black people who DO see it, and understand it. The white supremacists are terrified of white women and girls choosing not to have children.

I understand your reaction. And I'm not in favor of minors having surgery until they are fully developed (unnecessary surgeries can happen). I'm also not in favor of people medically transitioning until they are absolutely sure it's what they want to do, at any age.

But these bills endanger the lives of these children under the guise of protecting them, and this one admits why.

It's about the kids that aren't even born yet, who are inevitably to these people more important than the ones that exist.
