Oddly, I actually have come to consciously identify as cis.
Mostly. But I still identify as the gender assigned based off of the examination of my genitals at birth. So, regardless of any unconventional presentation, I'm cis.
I think refusing to identify as cis is refusing to interrogate your own gender and just going with the flow. It's lazy. And when people get very much up in arms about it, I wonder how they actually feel about gender, or gender roles, or whether they are just tired of the pressure to perform femininity or masculinity...
