"Odinist" is a suspect term. Unfortunately, the worship of the Northern gods does attract a lot of white supremacists. This makes difficulty for everyone. Not everyone who worships those gods is a white supremacist. But the religion has a major white supremacy problem, worse than Christianity.

Odinists are almost always white supremacists because all they do is take Christianity, subtract Jesus for being brown, and insert Odin instead. I have never in my life met somebody who called themselves an Odinist who wasn't a white supremacist, a homophobe, a transphobe, and a misogynist.

Asatru are more mixed. Anyone associated with the Asatru Folk Assembly is a white supremacist. Period. It's a white supremacist, radicalizing organization.

But plenty aren't. It's difficult, because there is SO MUCH. The "Nine Noble Virtues" have been dropped by many of us because they were put together by a racist and are also problematic in many ways).

As for a word for them: The word sane Asatru and Vanatru use for these people is "Brosatru." (There's also "LARPatru" for people who are obsessed with the viking aesthetic, but have no actual spirituality).

You can use that one if you want ;).

(I hope my blog demonstrates that I am not a white supremacist, although I have the normal racist tendencies I have to deal with, like all white people).
