Oh, I agree that nobody should be forced to parent if they are not ready for it.

However, we are not people with autism. We are autistic people. I think you need to sit with this a little bit to understand why what you are saying is coming over as a little bit insensitive. The fact that you are using that language shows you have not been listening to us. We find it really annoying, which I know is difficult when other groups do prefer person first language like that.

I do not suffer with autism. I do not "have" autism. I am an autistic person.
