Oh, the American forced birth movement HAS thought all of them through.

They want more poor kids to resolve the military recruiting crisis.

They don't care if mothers commit suicide.

They certainly don't care if healthcare costs more.

These laws are the produce of a vocal minority that do NOT care about babies and do NOT care about those capable of becoming pregnant.

They want women back under the control of men, unable to even work outside the home. Criminalizing miscarriage supports that goal...a woman who doesn't even know she's pregnant could be investigated and found guilty because she engaged in any behavior people even *think* might cause miscarriage...which includes working outside the home. Not kidding.

They WANT this and unfortunately they've gerrymandered things such that they have real power.

Thankfully some of them are now actually going too far even for their own movement and it's starting to splinter, which might help.
