Patient portals are okay. Forcing people to download a smartphone app to confirm their appointment, though, which I've seen.
Then there was the time my hand surgeon's office handed me a paper form to fill out. At the time, my dominant hand was in a permanent splint.
"I can't write with my left hand. You won't be able to read it."
"Do your best."
I WISHED for a patient portal, because then I could have got my husband to type in all the stuff which, by the way, was the same form as the last visit.
My surgeon was great, but don't ask somebody who can't use their dominant hand to WRITE!
