Racism exists everywhere. The form of it varies, and so do the targets in some places (I have a white friend who got followed around in stores routinely while teaching English in an inland city in China).

But it's everywhere. Sometimes it's easier to see when not in your own culture. Sometimes harder because you have it in your head that X country is "better."
