Read all of these. It's a pretty standard list (not meaning any offense).

I tend to take issue with Stranger in a Strange Land constantly being included over Heinlein's much better work The Moon is a Harsh Mistress. But I'm also a weird person...I don't like Childhood's End (or much Clarke in general or Dune either.

I'd also add C.J. Cherryh's marvelous Cyteen to the list with the caveat that Cherryh expects her readers to be smart, so it can be a slightly challenging read. Her Merchanter's books are generally more approachable.

But not a bad list at all.
