Roe v. Wade is poor law.

I would actually argue that abortion rights fall under the FIRST Amendment, because some religions ban abortion (thus protecting the right to not be forced into one a la Struck) and others allow it or even require it in some circumstances. Ergo, the First Amendment requires that the decision be between the pregnant person, their doctor, and possibly their priest.

We have spent fifty years faffing around and not fixing this.

That said, Alito's judgment, if it comes down, is beyond terrible and could destroy this country, because it ALSO takes aim at not just same sex marriage, not just contraception, but even interracial marriage is being mentioned as poorly decided.

It's a very problematic opinion at every single level.
