On the main topic. No, you should not have to be Ruby Bridges' mother. I worry about my friends with trans kids and about their kids. My friend's trans daughter is about to start college. Another friend has a non-binary kid in the public school system with a governor who is telling teachers not to respect their pronouns.

All supportive parents of trans kids are fighting for the rights of kids AND of parents to do what's best for their kids. While being told "Well, but OTHER parents have the right to force your child into the closet because they don't want their kids to know it's okay to be trans." It's ridiculous.
