Some airports are particularly challenging and require specific training, particularly in lower infrastructure areas. I've been to two...Corfu in Greece, where we had to divert to Athens because it was simply not safe to land at that time...and Jackson's Hole in Wyoming.

Pilots who don't regularly fly those routes can't be expected to handle it. It's kind of like pitting somebody in a plane they haven't trained in.
