That is an interesting perceptive.

I also know people who are smart and love certain conspiracy theories. The difference is that they pick things like Templar gold or Mary Magdalene that don't really hurt anyone.

I know somebody who was all in on "Vikings discovered North America" and lost all interest when it turned out to be true.

But there's a difference between hoping every hole dug on the west coast of England or the east coast of New England will turn up lost treasure and COVID vaccines change your DNA...a huge one.

In other words, it's possible to have fun with this stuff without causing harm.

But I hadn't seen touting these theories to the less educated (not necessarily less intelligent) as an insult...you have an interesting point for me to think on there.
