The Great Book Shortage of 2021
This thread from Vertebrate Publishing says it all. Europe has essentially run out of the kind of paper needed to print books.
The U.S. is doing a little bit better. In fact, paper shortages are affecting all kinds of other things too, including the board game industry. There are shortages of envelopes and packing boxes.
