The issue is that for some people it IS a burden.

When you are working two jobs each just to keep a roof over your head, you don't have time for an "extra stop to get fresh produce." You don't have time to cut lettuce.

You buy bagged salad.

Before we can fix our relationship with food we have to fix the economic systems which leave people with the choice of fast/convenience food or hunger.
