The only way to reduce the number of abortions, as opposed to safe abortions, is to reduce the demand.

Criminalization does not reduce the demand. And even then, abortion will always be needed in cases where the physical or mental health of the pregnant person is impacted. (I count cases of rape under mental health).

But we could do so much to reduce economic abortion, and the so-called pro lifers are typically against everything that actually would.
