The problem is that all of these rights were hung on the wrong hook and we let it sit that way for 50 years. (Well, not all of us).

The hook on which these rights should and must be hung is the First Amendment. That is to say, freedom of religion and conscience.

Freedom of religion protects the right to abortion and the *equally important* right not to have an abortion. It protects the right to marry who you choose and the right of churches not to recognize marriages they don't consider valid.

I would prefer even more than that to enshrine a specific right of Reproductive and Sexual Freedom.

If people want a same sex marriage, fine. If people want a covenant marriage, then I hope they got tons of premarital coujnseling, but also fine.
